Information on Transportation

Metro Buses run on a strict schedule, so please plan accordingly!

Racers registered with Team Metzcor should arrive at Metzcor at 10:00 am, and no later than 10:30 am. This allows time to pick up your Team Metzcor shirt and race number, grab a coffee from CorCafe, and board the buses.

  • Buses will depart promptly from Metzcor at 11:00 am to head to the race. Metro will not wait for late arrivals!

  • Return buses will leave the race at 2:30 pm to bring us back to Metzcor.

***Please note: Transportation must have been selected during race registration, and participants must have chosen the West Side Hub option. Bus seating is limited and is only guaranteed for those who selected this option at the time of registration. Individuals who did not select transportation and the West Side Hub are not guaranteed a spot on the bus. ***

  • CorCafe will be open at 10:00 am for drink purchases the morning of the race. If you did not sign up for transportation but would still like to meet at Metzcor before the race, you are more than welcome!

  • If you are meeting us downtown, we will gather outside Paycor Stadium near Taste of Belgium. Look for our team holding signs to help you find us.

All participants are required to have a chaperone at the race. If you did not register one, you can do so using the link below. Enter code 26PIGAGUIDE in the top right corner and click “validate.” This will unlock the “guide” option on the left side. Continue with registration—guides are free of charge.

Where Do We Go for the PigAbilities Start?

The race will start at 1:00 pm on Freedom Way near Rosa Parks, near the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. There will be another youth event using the same Start Line at 12:00 pm, but the block of Race St, south of Freedom Way will be available for participants who arrive early. The packet pick up tent for PigAbilities will be located at the corner of Freedom Way and Elm Street.

Where Should My Family Park?

There will be several events going on before PigAbilities as part of Flying Pig Weekend, so please be aware of road closures. If you are not arriving by bus with your group, we have 2 suggestions for parking and arrival.

1. Central Riverfront Garage ($5 rate). Enter from 182 Race St, once you go down the ramp at the first stop sign, take a right, continue straight as the garage becomes an open air lot. Find parking here and then find signage to follow a ramp to the staging area on Race St.

2. “Lot D” (151 West Pete Rose Way) Available by requesting a permit at packet pickup while supplies last.

*We recommend using the WAZE app to navigate real time road closures for our events.*

Can a Family Member or Friend Run/Walk With a PigAbilities Participant?

To ensure the utmost safety and security for all participants, spectators, staff, volunteers and officials, we ask that all people on any Flying Pig course be an officially registered participant, or an official volunteer. If your athlete is not part of an organized group with chaperones, you can register to participate with them. Participants can register online through April 29th, pending the event is not sold out. GUIDE bibs are also available, but guides do not receive a shirt, bag or medal. Be sure to fill out race day contact information on the back of each athlete’s race bib.

Where Is the Finish Line, and Where Do the Athletes Exit?

The secure “Finish Swine” is located on Mehring Way just west of the blue Roebling Suspension Bridge. Once athletes complete the event, they will receive their medal, water and recovery snacks. We welcome all athletes and their families to celebrate at the post-race party located in Smale Riverfront Park just outside the recovery area. Athletes will also be able to leave directly from recovery to Central Riverfront Garage. Volunteers will be on-site for directional assistance to the garage.

How Do I Receive My Zoo Tickets?

An email will be sent post-event with the link to redeem your 3 zoo tickets.
